Tiernan Martin leads the land use planning research program at Futurewise. His work focuses on the advancement of healthy, affordable, vibrant urban neighborhoods in the Puget Sound region. Tiernan’s approach combines expertise in geospatial data science, understanding of regulatory frameworks and processes, and experience collaborating with community leaders and local organization staff. He is a member of the Puget Sound Regional Council Regional Transit-Oriented Development Committee and is Vice President of the Seattle Chinatown-ID Preservation and Development Authority (SCIDpda) Board of Directors.

Tiernan lives with his family in Seattle, Washington, where he enjoys visiting the aquarium and taking ferry rides around Puget Sound.
